Good morning! I’m literally just getting back from my first trip to Island Point Lodge and wanted to share my thoughts with you. It’s been my experience that most people will take the time to complain about this and that, but few will ever take the time to extend words of appreciation and gratitude. Well, I’m one of the few who believes in extending appreciation and gratitude. Hap’s and my trip this past week—our first, but not our last—was fantastic! The lodge was amazing, the weather was sunny and pleasant, and the fishing was hot! The boats, equipment and gear were all in great shape. Without a doubt, the lodge’s greatest feature was your staff. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and absolutely went out of their way to provide anything we wanted or needed. I’d particularly like to acknowledge Colby, Buddy and Abby. Each and every one was exceptional—let me say it again: exceptional! You have put together a truly outstanding team. Thank you for an incredible week at your lodge. I’m already trying to figure out how to get back next summer. Best and safest remainder of your season. “Fish on!”
